May 1, 2025: Buchanan, VA 24066 The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) and the visiting Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA), saw James River's baseball team gain a win over Waynesboro by a tally of 10-0.
The Knights (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars enter the non-league battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Alleghany was overwhelmed by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 15-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Little Giants face the Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, May 2. Waynesboro will attempt to upgrade on its 0-14 season record. The Black Knights enter the battle with a 4-6 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Fluvanna County (Palmyra, VA).
