The Arcola Purple Riders triumphed over the visiting Tri-County [Kansas/Shiloh/Oakland] Titans softball squad by a count of 11-5 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Purple Riders meet the Villa Grove Blue Devils (Villa Grove, IL) in a Lincoln Prairie challenge, on Monday, May 5. Arcola will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a 10-5 record after their 15-5 league win over Cumberland (Toledo, IL).

The Titans (3-17) will now prepare for their challenge against Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL). The Timberwolves enter the Lincoln Prairie challenge with a 1-9 record. In their last challenge, Okaw Valley was routed by Blue Ridge (Farmer City, IL), 10-0, in a league challenge.
