In Thursday's league test, the Calvary Baptist Cougars (La Verne, CA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Bethel Christian Kings (Riverside, CA), by a count of 16-6.

Next, the Cougars meet the Lucerne Valley Mustangs (Lucerne Valley, CA) in a non-league test, on Friday, May 2. Calvary Baptist will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Mustangs go into the test with a 1-9 record after their 8-7 league win over Silver Valley (Yermo, CA).

The Kings (14-7) will now prepare for their test against Woodcrest Christian (Riverside, CA). The Royals go into the non-league test with a 6-13 record. In their last test, Woodcrest Christian was routed by Ontario Christian (Ontario, CA), 11-1, in a league test.
