May 1, 2025: Bloomfield, NJ 07003 The East Side Red Raiders softball squad (Newark, NJ), was routed 15-1 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ)
With the triumph, Bloomfield improves its record to 8-9 on the year. The Bengals host West Essex (North Caldwell, NJ) to face the Knights in a SEC - Liberty contest on Friday, May 2. The Knights enter the contest with a record of 5-11. West Essex lost 8-1 in their recent non-league contest against Rutherford (Rutherford, NJ)
The Red Raiders now hold a 0-8 record. They play next when they host Montclair Kimberley Academy for a SEC - Colonial contest on Monday, May 5. East Side will face a Cougars squad coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Columbia (Maplewood, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 6-8.
