Virginia High School Softball - Freedom held off by Loudoun County

The Loudoun County Captains got by the host Freedom Eagles softball squad by a count of 4-3 in Thursday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Captains meet the John Champe Knights (Aldie, VA) in a Dulles challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Loudoun County will attempt to upgrade on its 11-4 season record. The Knights go into the challenge with a 1-7 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Charles J. Colgan (Manassas, VA).

The Eagles (7-9) will now prepare for their challenge against Gainesville (Gainesville, VA). The Cardinals go into the Cedar Run challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Gainesville held off Osbourn (Manassas, VA), 13-2, in a league challenge.
