The Hammond Skyhawks (Columbia, SC) softball routed the visiting Wardlaw Academy Patriots (Johnston, SC), 12-3 in Thursday's non-league outing.

The Skyhawks now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Laurence Manning Academy for a SCISA AAAA Region III outing on Friday, May 2. Hammond will encounter a Swampcats team coming off a 7-3 league win over Wilson Hall (Sumter, SC). The Swampcats record now stands at 18-2.

With the loss, Wardlaw Academy moves to 8-9 on the season. The Patriots host Greenwood Christian (Greenwood, SC) to encounter the Hawks in a non-league outing on Monday, May 5. The Hawks come into the outing with a record of 3-7.
