May 1, 2025: Wayne, NJ 07470 Wayne Valley Indians (Wayne, NJ) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Hawthorne Bears (Hawthorne, NJ), 9-4 in a non-league bout.
The Indians (8-5) will now prepare for their bout against Clifton (Clifton, NJ). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 6-9 record. In their last bout, Clifton was routed by Montclair (Montclair, NJ), 5-3, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Bears clash with the New Milford Knights (New Milford, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, May 7. Hawthorne will attempt to advance on its 10-5 season record.
