The Kennedy Cougars softball squad (Granada Hills, CA), was edged 8-7 in Thursday's non-league contest with the host Sierra Canyon Trailblazers (Chatsworth, CA)

With the triumph, Sierra Canyon improves its record to 11-9 on the year. The Trailblazers travel to Louisville (Woodland Hills, CA) to face the Royals in a Mission contest on Monday, May 5. The Royals enter the contest with a record of 4-13. Louisville lost 4-0 in their recent league contest against Notre Dame (SO) (Sherman Oaks, CA)

The Cougars now hold a 11-8 record. They play next when they host Poly for a Valley Mission contest on Friday, May 2. Kennedy will face a Parrots squad coming off a 8-3 league win over Arleta (Arleta, CA). The Parrots record now stands at 7-10.
