The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Lacey Township Lions (Lanoka Harbor, NJ) and the visiting Manchester Township Hawks (Lakehurst, NJ), observed Lacey Township's softball team get by Manchester Township by a final score of 9-8.

The Lions (7-7) will now prepare for their bout against Rumson-Fair Haven (Rumson, NJ). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 5-7 record. In their last bout, Rumson-Fair Haven tipped Henry Hudson (Highlands, NJ), 14-8, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Hawks battle the Pinelands Regional Wildcats (Tuckerton, NJ) in a Shore - B South bout, on Monday, May 5. Manchester Township will attempt to better on its 3-11 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 13-1 record after their 11-5 non-league win over Toms River North (Toms River, NJ).
