In Thursday's league outing, the visiting Burlingame Panthers softball team scored a nice 13-0 win over the Sequoia Cherokee.

Coming up next, the Panthers battle the Terra Nova Tigers (Pacifica, CA) in a outing, on Tuesday, May 7. Burlingame will attempt to upgrade on its 19-4 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 6-12 record after their 11-6 league loss to Carlmont (Belmont, CA).

The Cherokee (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Aragon (San Mateo, CA). The Dons enter the non-league outing with a 2-6 record.

An impressive two-way performance from Sara Slavsky led the Burlingame Panthers JV to a 13-0 win Thursday over Sequoia, as Slavsky came up huge at the dish and on the rubber.

Slavsky went a perfect 3-3 at the plate for Burlingame. She doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and sixth innings.

Slavsky kept Sequoia off the scoreboard for all six innings she was on the hill. She pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on six hits while ringing up six.

The Panthers blew out Sequoia thanks to 18 hits, including five extra base hits. The lead stayed with Burlingame after the first, when they scored two uns on an RBI double by Amelia Milne and an RBI single by Schloetter. Burlingame scored 4 in the 4th and later blew the game open with 5 runs in the sixth on an RBI single by Slavsky, an RBI single by Lindsey Schloetter, an RBI single by Michelle Fallon, and a two-run double by Bayley Hollands.
