Virginia High School Softball - Buckingham topped by Appomattox County
May 2, 2023: Appomattox, VA 24522 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Appomattox County Raiders (Appomattox, VA) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA), by a margin of 17-3.
With the triumph, Appomattox County moves its record to 8-3 on the year. The Raiders travel to Chatham (Chatham, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Wednesday, May 3. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 2-7. Chatham lost 5-2 in their recent non-league contest against Dan River (Ringgold, VA)
In their next game, the Knights play the Randolph-Henry Statesmen (Charlotte Court House, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, May 4. Buckingham will attempt to move on its 2-7 season record. The Statesmen come into the contest with a 6-3 record after their 8-7 non-league win over Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA).
