Virginia High School Softball - Waynesboro bounces Staunton
May 2, 2023: Waynesboro, VA 22980 Waynesboro Little Giants (Waynesboro, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Staunton Storm (Staunton, VA), 21-11 in a non-league challenge.
The Little Giants now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Stuarts Draft for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. Waynesboro will face a Cougars squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 12-2.
With the loss, Staunton moves to 1-12 on the season. The Storm host Spotswood (Penn Laird, VA) to face the Trailblazers in a non-league match on Thursday, May 4. The Trailblazers go into the match with a record of 5-4. Spotswood won 18-3 in their recent non-league match against Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA)
