May 2, 2023: Minnetonka, MN 55305 Spectators at Tuesday's non-league match between the Mankato West Scarlets (Mankato, MN) and the host Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN), witnessed Mankato West's softball squad tip Hopkins by a count of 12-9.
The Scarlets now sport a 6-1 record. They play next when they travel to Red Wing for a Big 9 match on Thursday, May 4. Mankato West will meet a Wingers squad coming off a 27-1 league loss to Winona (Winona, MN). The Wingers record now stands at 2-4.
With the loss, Hopkins moves to 2-1 on the season. The Royals host Eden Prairie (Eden Prairie, MN) to meet the Eagles in a Lake match on Thursday, May 4. The Eagles go into the match with a record of 6-3. Eden Prairie won 6-5 in their recent league match against Edina (Edina, MN)
