May 2, 2023: Lake Mills, WI 53551 Poynette Pumas (Poynette, WI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Lakeside Lutheran Warriors (Lake Mills, WI), 11-1 in a league challenge.
The Pumas now own a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Luther Prep for a Capitol - North challenge on Friday, May 5. Poynette will battle a Phoenix squad coming off a 11-0 league loss to Lake Mills (Lake Mills, WI). The Phoenix record now stands at 2-7.
With the loss, Lakeside Lutheran falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Lodi (Lodi, WI) to battle the Blue Devils in a Capitol - North challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 6-7. Lodi lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Columbus (Columbus, WI)
