Logansport Berries (Logansport, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Peru Tigers (Peru, IN), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Berries now sport a 12-4 record. They take the field next when they host Kokomo for a North Central challenge on Wednesday, May 3. Logansport will face a Wildkats squad coming off a 15-5 league win over Lafayette Jefferson (Lafayette, IN). The Wildkats record now stands at 9-6.

With the loss, Peru falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Northfield (Wabash, IN) to face the Norsemen in a Three Rivers challenge on Wednesday, May 3. The Norsemen enter the challenge with a record of 2-11. Northfield won 17-11 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Wayne Wayne (Fort Wayne, IN)
