May 2, 2024: Wayne, NJ 07470 Verona Hillbillies (Verona, NJ) boosters exited the stadium content Thursday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad nip the host Wayne Hills Patriots (Wayne, NJ), 8-7 in a non-league battle.
The Hillbillies now own a 7-5 record. They take the field next when they host Livingston for a non-league battle on Friday, May 3. Verona will clash with a Lancers squad coming off a 6-2 league win over St. Peter's Prep (Jersey City, NJ). The Lancers record now stands at 7-4.
In their next game, the Patriots clash with the Mount Olive Marauders (Flanders, NJ) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, May 4. Wayne Hills will attempt to advance on its 3-10 season record. The Marauders come into the battle with a 4-8 record after their 12-9 non-league loss to West Morris Central (Chester, NJ).
