New Jersey High School Softball - Pequannock gets by Becton
May 2, 2024: East Rutherford, NJ 07073 Spectators at Thursday's non-league match between the Pequannock Golden Panthers (Pompton Plains, NJ) and the host Becton Wildcats (East Rutherford, NJ), witnessed Pequannock's softball squad tip Becton by a count of 5-4.
The Golden Panthers now sport a 4-16 record. They play next when they host Parsippany for a NJAC - Liberty match on Saturday, May 4. Pequannock will face a Redhawks squad coming off a 12-11 non-league win over Chatham (Chatham, NJ). The Redhawks record now stands at 5-8.
With the loss, Becton moves to 4-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Wallington (Wallington, NJ) to face the Panthers in a NJIC - Meadowlands match on Friday, May 3. The Panthers go into the match with a record of 14-1. Wallington won 11-0 in their recent league match against Saddle Brook (Saddle Brook, NJ)
