Morris Redskins (Morris, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Reed-Custer Comets (Braidwood, IL), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Redskins now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilmington for a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3. Morris will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Peotone (Peotone, IL). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-3.

With the loss, Reed-Custer falls to 12-11 on the campaign. The Comets host Seneca (Seneca, IL) to face the Fighting Irish in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 3.
