The University Hawks baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Laurel Highlands Mustangs to 1 in the Hawks non-league win on Friday.

The Hawks now own a 13-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Preston for a non-league test on Monday, May 5. University will clash with a Knights team coming off a 3-3 non-league Keyser (Keyser, WV). The Knights record now stands at 8-8.

With the defeat, Laurel Highlands drops to 3-11 on the year. The Mustangs host Ringgold (Monongahela, PA) to play the Rams in a WPIAL 4A 2 game on Monday, May 5. The Rams go into the game with a record of 7-9. Ringgold lost 4-2 in their recent non-league game against Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, PA)
