The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Metamora Redbirds (Metamora, IL) and the visiting Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL), saw Metamora's baseball team get by Lincoln by a tally of 3-2.

The Redbirds (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against Limestone (Bartonville, IL). The Rockets enter the Mid-Illini battle with a 14-11 record. In their last battle, Limestone held off Alleman (Rock Island, IL), 11-7, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Railsplitters face the New Berlin/Franklin/Waverly Vipers (New Berlin, IL) in a non-league battle, on Monday, May 5. Lincoln will attempt to upgrade on its 6-14 season record. The Vipers enter the battle with a 13-10 record after their 15-4 non-league win over Liberty (Liberty, IL).
