May 2, 2025: Perry, OH 44081 The Perry Pirates baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Shaker Heights Red Raiders to 2 in the Pirates non-league win on Friday.
The Pirates now own a 12-3 record. They take the field next when they host Orange for a Chagrin Valley - Chagrin test on Monday, May 5. Perry will clash with a Lions team coming off a 13-3 league loss to Hawken (Gates Mills, OH). The Lions record now stands at 2-9.
With the defeat, Shaker Heights drops to 3-12 on the year. The Red raiders host Strongsville (Strongsville, OH) to clash with the Mustangs in a Greater Cleveland test on Monday, May 5. The Mustangs go into the test with a record of 12-6. Strongsville lost 4-0 in their recent non-league test against Benedictine (Cleveland, OH)
