The Central East Bengals got by the visiting Buchanan Bears softball squad by a count of 6-5 in Friday's league challenge.

Next, the Bengals meet the Clovis North Broncos (Fresno, CA) in a Tri-River challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Central East will attempt to upgrade on its 20-2 season record. The Broncos go into the challenge with a 18-4 record after their 8-0 league win over Clovis (Clovis, CA).

The Bears (19-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Clovis West (Fresno, CA). The Golden Eagles go into the Tri-River challenge with a 15-8 record. In their last challenge, Clovis West was nudged by Clovis East (Clovis, CA), 12-2, in a league challenge.
