Oregon High School Softball - Lakeview topped by Burns
May 2, 2025: Burns, OR 97720 Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) backers left the game pleased Friday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Lakeview Honkers (Lakeview, OR), 14-4 in a non-league game.
With the triumph, Burns upgrades its record to 9-3 on the year. The Hilanders travel to Baker/Powder Valley (Baker City, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, May 7. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 3-6. Baker/Powder Valley lost 11-0 in their recent league game against La Grande (La Grande, OR)
The Honkers now own a 7-7 record. They play next when they host Brookings-Harbor for a 3A Southern Oregon game on Tuesday, May 6. Lakeview will play a Bruins squad coming off a 4-2 league win over North Valley (Grants Pass, OR). The Bruins record now stands at 10-7.
