Pennsylvania High School Softball - Lakeland knocked off by Mid Valley

May 2, 2025: Throop, PA 18512

In Friday's league test, the Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Lakeland Chiefs (Jermyn, PA), by a tally of 15-0.

Next, the Spartans meet the Holy Cross Crusaders (Dunmore, PA) in a Lackawanna 3 test, on Monday, May 5. Mid Valley will attempt to advance on its 16-1 season record. The Crusaders go into the test with a 15-1 record after their 11-0 league win over Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA).

The Chiefs (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Riverside (Taylor, PA). The Vikings go into the Lackawanna 3 test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Riverside was routed by Dunmore (Dunmore, PA), 8-4, in a league test.
