In Friday's league test, the Wachusett Regional Mountaineers (Holden, MA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Shrewsbury Colonials (Shrewsbury, MA), by a tally of 10-0.

Next, the Mountaineers meet the Hampshire Regional Raiders (Westhampton, MA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, May 3. Wachusett Regional will attempt to advance on its 7-0 season record. The Raiders go into the test with a 13-0 record after their 12-2 league win over Westfield (Westfield, MA).

The Colonials (4-7) will now prepare for their test against Leominster (Leominster, MA). The Blue Devils go into the Mid-Wach test with a 6-4 record. In their last test, Leominster toppled Hudson (Hudson, MA), 20-8, in a non-league test.
