Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the host Chesterton Trojans (Chesterton, IN), 2-1 in a league test.

With the win, Lake Central upgrades its record to 16-3 on the season. The Indians travel to Portage (Portage, IN) to battle the Indians in a Duneland test on Tuesday, May 9. The Indians come into the test with a record of 8-12. Portage won 5-4 in their recent non-league test against Lowell (Lowell, IN)

With the defeat, Chesterton falls to 7-11 on the season. The Trojans travel to Illiana Christian (Dyer, IN) to battle the Vikings in a non-league test on Friday, May 5. The Vikings come into the test with a record of 13-6. Illiana Christian lost 8-7 in their recent league test against Hanover Central (Cedar Lake, IN)
