The Avon Falcons routed the visiting Farmington River Hawks softball squad by a count of 10-5 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Falcons (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Southington (Southington, CT). The Blue Knights go into the non-league battle with a 11-3 record. In their last battle, Southington nudged Maloney (Meriden, CT), 15-1, in a non-league battle.
