South Dakota High School Softball - Riggs topped by Dakota Valley
May 3, 2024: North Sioux City, SD 57049 In Friday's non-league contest, the Dakota Valley Panthers (North Sioux City, SD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Riggs Governors (Pierre, SD), by a margin of 14-2.
With the triumph, Dakota Valley moves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Panthers host Colome (Colome, SD) to play the Cowboys in a non-league contest on Saturday, May 4. The Cowboys come into the contest with a record of 3-7. Colome won 15-0 in their recent non-league contest against Chamberlain (Chamberlain, SD)
In their next game, the Governors play the Jefferson Cavaliers (Sioux Falls, SD) in a Class AA contest, on Saturday, May 4. Riggs will attempt to move on its 2-10 season record. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a 10-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Watertown (Watertown, SD).
