New York High School Softball - Holland Patent bounces Mt. Markham
May 3, 2024: West Winfield, NY 13491 Spectators at Friday's non-league match between the Holland Patent Golden Knights (Holland Patent, NY) and the host Mt. Markham Mustangs (West Winfield, NY), witnessed Holland Patent's softball squad tip Mt. Markham by a count of 26-20.
The Golden Knights now sport a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Whitesboro for a Section 3 Tri-Valley match on Monday, May 6. Holland Patent will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Notre Dame (Utica, NY). The Warriors record now stands at 9-2.
With the loss, Mt. Markham moves to 7-4 on the season. The Mustangs host Westmoreland (Westmoreland, NY) to confront the Bulldogs in a Section 3 Center State II bout on Monday, May 6. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 7-2. Westmoreland won 15-0 in their recent non-league bout against Proctor (Utica, NY)
