May 3, 2024: Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 Northern York Polar Bears (Dillsburg, PA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Mechanicsburg Wildcats (Mechanicsburg, PA), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Polar Bears now own a 13-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carlisle for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Northern York will battle a Thundering Herd squad coming off a 7-5 league win over Lower Dauphin (Hummelstown, PA). The Thundering Herd record now stands at 4-2.
With the loss, Mechanicsburg falls to 12-3 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Bishop McDevitt (Harrisburg, PA) to battle the Crusaders in a Mid-Penn - Keystone challenge on Monday, May 6. The Crusaders enter the challenge with a record of 1-6.
