Illinois High School Baseball - Chicago University loses to Crystal Lake South
May 3, 2025: Chicago, IL 60637 Crystal Lake South Gators (Crystal Lake, IL) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the host Chicago University Maroons (Chicago, IL), 21-2 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Crystal Lake South advances its record to 14-9 on the season. The Gators travel to McHenry (McHenry, IL) to battle the Warriors in a Fox Valley - Valley match on Monday, May 5. The Warriors come into the match with a record of 21-2. McHenry won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Johnsburg (Johnsburg, IL)
The Maroons now have a 5-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Latin for a Independent School match on Monday, May 5. Chicago University will battle a Romans squad coming off a 10-0 non-league win over Payton College Prep (Chicago, IL). The Romans record now stands at 9-2.
