The Highland Hawks baseball squad (Warrenton, VA), was edged 8-7 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA)

With the triumph, Western Branch moves its record to 11-4 on the season. The Bruins host King's Fork (Suffolk, VA) to confront the Bulldogs in a Southeastern contest on Tuesday, May 6. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a record of 4-8.

The Hawks now possess a 23-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Miller School of Albemarle for a non-league contest on Tuesday, May 6. Highland will confront a Mavericks squad coming off a 9-1 non-league win over St. Anne's-Belfield (Charlottesville, VA). The Mavericks record now stands at 28-6.
