The Richmond Blue Devils edged the host Millington Cardinals softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Blue Devils meet the Almont Raiders (Almont, MI) in a Blue Water Area challenge, on Tuesday, May 6. Richmond will attempt to upgrade on its 5-4 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 7-1 non-league win over Bad Axe (Bad Axe, MI).

The Cardinals (7-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Adams (Rochester, MI). The Highlanders enter the non-league challenge with a 6-7 record. In their last challenge, Adams was nudged by Chippewa Valley (Clinton Township, MI), 11-4, in a non-league challenge.
