May 4, 2023: Walnut Creek, CA 94597 Holy Names Monarchs (Oakland, CA) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Contra Costa Christian Cougars (Walnut Creek, CA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Monarchs confront the Cristo Rey De La Salle Mustangs (Oakland, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, May 9. Holy Names will attempt to better on its 9-0 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 6-0 record after their 4-1 non-league win over Summit Tamalpais (Richmond, CA).
The Cougars now have a 8-3 record.
