Huntington North Vikings (Huntington, IN) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they observed their baseball squad hold off the visiting DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN), 8-7 in a league test.

With the win, Huntington North upgrades its record to 1-2 on the season. The Vikings host Leo (Leo, IN) to battle the Lions in a test on Tuesday, May 9. The Lions come into the test with a record of 4-8. Leo lost 9-4 in their recent non-league test against Fort Wayne Snider (Fort Wayne, IN)

With the defeat, DeKalb falls to 8-2 on the season. The Barons travel to Prairie Heights (LaGrange, IN) to battle the Panthers in a non-league test on Saturday, May 6.
