Illinois High School Softball - Kankakee bounces Crete-Monee
May 4, 2023: Crete, IL 60417 The Kankakee Kays (Kankakee, IL) softball routed the host Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL), 14-1 in Thursday's league bout.
The Kays (16-4) will now prepare for their bout against Thornton Fractional South (Lansing, IL). The Red Wolves go into the non-league bout with a 12-12 record. In their last bout, Thornton Fractional South toppled Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 20-0, in a league bout.
The Warriors now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host Bloom for a Southland Athletic bout on Monday, May 8. Crete-Monee will confront a Blazing Trojan squad coming off a 16-4 league win over Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL). The Blazing Trojan record now stands at 9-10.
