Ohio High School Softball - Van Buren nudges Otsego
May 4, 2023: Tontogany, OH 43565 Van Buren Black Knights (Van Buren, OH) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Otsego Knights (Tontogany, OH), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Black Knights now sport a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they host Leipsic for a Blanchard Valley challenge on Friday, May 5. Van Buren will face a Vikings squad coming off a 11-8 non-league loss to Ada (Ada, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 2-5.
With the loss, Otsego falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Knights host Fostoria (Fostoria, OH) to face the Redmen in a Northern Buckeye challenge on Friday, May 5. The Redmen enter the challenge with a record of 0-11.
