Illinois High School Softball - Shepard bounces Thornton Fractional North
May 4, 2023: Calumet City, IL 60409 Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Thornton Fractional North Meteors (Calumet City, IL), 18-0 in a league challenge.
The Astros now own a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they host Reavis for a South Suburban challenge on Friday, May 5. Shepard will battle a Rams squad coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Berwyn/Cicero Morton (Cicero, IL). The Rams record now stands at 9-17.
With the loss, Thornton Fractional North falls to 1-17 on the campaign. The Meteors host Thornton (Harvey, IL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Friday, May 5. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-11. Thornton lost 21-7 in their recent league challenge against Thornwood (South Holland, IL)
