May 4, 2024: Bloomfield, NJ 07003 The Montclair Mounties (Montclair, NJ) softball routed the host Bloomfield Bengals (Bloomfield, NJ), 5-0 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Mounties (10-7) will now prepare for their bout against Kent Place (Summit, NJ). The Dragons go into the non-league bout with a 2-9 record. In their last bout, Kent Place was routed by New Providence (New Providence, NJ), 5-1, in a league bout.
The Bengals now possess a 10-7 record. They play next when they host West Essex for a SEC - Liberty bout on Monday, May 6. Bloomfield will confront a Knights squad coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Nutley (Nutley, NJ). The Knights record now stands at 5-12.
