Spectators at Saturday's league match between the Riverton Parke Panthers (Montezuma, IN) and the host Covington Trojans (Covington, IN), witnessed Riverton Parke's softball squad tip Covington by a count of 7-6.

The Panthers now sport a 16-2 record. They play next when they host Parke Heritage for a Wabash River match on Tuesday, May 7. Riverton Parke will face a Wolves squad coming off a 18-3 league win over Seeger (West Lebanon, IN). The Wolves record now stands at 8-8.

With the loss, Covington moves to 7-10 on the season. The Trojans travel to West Vigo (West Terre Haute, IN) to face the Vikings in a non-league match on Monday, May 6. The Vikings go into the match with a record of 12-8. West Vigo lost 6-1 in their recent non-league match against Riverton Parke (Montezuma, IN)
