Elk Rapids Elks (Elk Rapids, MI) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mt. Pleasant Oilers (Mt. Pleasant, MI), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Elks now own a 16-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Frankenmuth for a non-league challenge on Saturday, May 4. Elk Rapids will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Cass City (Cass City, MI). The Eagles record now stands at 14-1.

With the loss, Mt. Pleasant falls to 7-7 on the campaign. The Oilers host Central (Bay City, MI) to battle the Wolves in a Saginaw Valley challenge on Monday, May 6.
