May 4, 2024: Minnetonka, MN 55305 Owatonna Huskies (Owatonna, MN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Hopkins Royals (Minnetonka, MN), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.
The Huskies now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they host Century for a Big 9 challenge on Tuesday, May 7.
With the loss, Hopkins falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Royals host St. Michael-Albertville (Albertville, MN) to battle the Knights in a non-league challenge on Monday, May 6. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-2. St. Michael-Albertville won 4-2 in their recent league challenge against Buffalo (Buffalo, MN)
