The Perry Commodores baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Ridgemont Golden Gophers to 1 in the Commodores league win on Monday.

The Commodores now own a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Temple Christian for a Northwest Central test on Tuesday, May 5. Perry will play a Pioneers team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Waynesfield-Goshen (Waynesfield, OH). The Pioneers record now stands at 0-8.

With the defeat, Ridgemont drops to 10-5 on the year. The Golden gophers host Ridgedale (Morral, OH) to play the Rockets in a Northwest Central test on Thursday, May 7. The Rockets go into the test with a record of 8-1. Ridgedale won 10-0 in their recent league test against Elgin (Marion, OH)
