In Monday's non-league test, the Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN) softball squad overwhelmed the host Elk River Elks (Elk River, MN), by a count of 7-1.

Next, the Magic meet the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, May 5. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record. The Crusaders go into the test with a 18-4 record after their 12-2 non-league win over Alexandria (Alexandria, MN).

The Elks (4-9) will now prepare for their test against Andover (Andover, MN). The Huskies go into the Northwest Suburban test with a 13-3 record. In their last test, Andover held off St. Francis (St. Francis, MN), 4-2, in a non-league test.
