Illinois High School Baseball - Joliet Catholic holds off Oak Park-River Forest
May 5, 2023: Oak Park, IL 60302 Joliet Catholic Hilltoppers (Joliet, IL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL), 8-4 in a non-league test.
With the win, Joliet Catholic upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Hilltoppers travel to Carmel (Mundelein, IL) to battle the Corsairs in a East Suburban Catholic test on Saturday, May 6. The Corsairs come into the test with a record of 11-11. Carmel won 13-11 in their recent non-league test against Northridge (Niles, IL)
With the defeat, Oak Park-River Forest falls to 9-15 on the season. The Huskies travel to Fenwick (Oak Park, IL) to battle the Friars in a non-league test on Wednesday, May 10. The Friars come into the test with a record of 13-13. Fenwick lost 4-1 in their recent league test against Saint Ignatius College Prep (Chicago, IL)
