Virginia High School Soccer - Gloucester knocks off West Point
May 5, 2023: Gloucester, VA 23061 Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team prevail over the visiting West Point Pointers (West Point, VA), 5-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Dukes face the Warwick Raiders (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula challenge, on Tuesday, May 9. Gloucester will attempt to better on its 7-3 season record. The Raiders enter the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 5-0 non-league win over Arcadia (Oak Hall, VA).
The Pointers now have a 11-2 record. They take the field next when they host Middlesex for a Tidewater challenge on Monday, May 8. West Point will face a Chargers team coming off a 8-4 non-league loss to Northampton (Eastville, VA). The Chargers record now stands at 10-4.
