Spectators at Friday's league match between the Conneaut Area Eagles (Linesville, PA) and the visiting McDowell Trojans (Erie, PA), witnessed Conneaut Area's softball squad tip McDowell by a count of 3-1.

The Eagles now sport a 10-5 record. They play next when they host Cochranton for a non-league match on Monday, May 8.

With the loss, McDowell moves to 3-8 on the season. The Trojans host Meadville (Meadville, PA) to confront the Bulldogs in a District 10 Region 5 bout on Monday, May 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 8-5. Meadville won 14-2 in their recent league bout against Warren (Warren, PA)
