Maine High School Softball - Morse bounces Fryeburg
May 5, 2023: Bath, ME 04530 The crowd at Friday's league match between the Morse Shipbuilders (Bath, ME) and the visiting Fryeburg Raiders (Fryeburg, ME), saw Morse's softball squad nip Fryeburg by a count of 8-1.
The Shipbuilders now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gardiner for a Class B South match on Saturday, May 6. Morse will face a Tigers squad coming off a 3-2 league win over Leavitt (Turner, ME). The Tigers record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Fryeburg falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to York (York, ME) to face the Wildcats in a Class B South match on Saturday, May 6. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 5-1. York won 16-3 in their recent league match against Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME)
