The Western Branch Bruins the host Kellam Knights softball squad by a count of 3-1 in Friday's non-league battle.

The Bruins (11-2) will now prepare for their battle against Manor (Portsmouth, VA). The Mustangs go into the non-league battle with a 9-3 record. In their last battle, Manor nudged Norcom (Portsmouth, VA), 19-4, in a league battle.

The Knights now sport a 15-1 record. They play next when they travel to Ocean Lakes for a Beach battle on Tuesday, May 9. Kellam will meet a Dolphins squad coming off a 8-2 non-league loss to Manchester (Midlothian, VA). The Dolphins record now stands at 11-5.
