The Sierra Chieftains softball team (Tollhouse, CA), was routed 13-1 in Friday's league test with the visiting Liberty Hawks (Madera, CA)

Coming up next, the Hawks encounter the Caruthers Blue Raiders (Caruthers, CA) in a Northwest Sequoia- West test, on Tuesday, May 9. Liberty will attempt to improve on its 14-10 season record. The Blue Raiders enter the test with a 15-7 record after their 13-0 league win over Riverdale (Riverdale, CA).

The Chieftains (8-13) will now prepare for their test against Fowler (Fowler, CA). The Redcats enter the Northwest Sequoia- West test with a 20-3 record. In their last test, Fowler prevailed over Fresno Christian (Fresno, CA), 16-4, in a league test.
